Beach & Parks The Mystic River and other nearby coastal waterways provide an extraordinary opportunity to experience boating up close and personal. Bike rentals and boat rides are all available along the banks of the Mystic River and at Mystic Seaport. If you are more of the landlubber type, bike rentals and hiking trails are nearby and offer the kind of quiet escape that can sooth the nerves and open the eyes to the back woods beauty of this region. Bird lovers come back time and again to catch sight of the varied species who flock to the water along this spectacular coast.
