This is an exciting opportunity to lead Connecticut's Procurement Technical Assistance Center (CTPTAC), a program that helps businesses become government contractors and/or expand their existing work.This program is hosted by the Southeastern Connecticut Enterprise Region (seCTer), an economic development agency and small business lender located in Groton, CT, however this position provides statewide services. CTPTAC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency

Thames River Heritage Park Searching for Part-time Group Tour & Waterfront Coordinator

New London, CT: The Thames River Heritage Park (TRHP) is looking to hire a high-energy organized individual to work part-time as a Group Tour and Waterfront Coordinator. The right person will play a key role in helping grow the non-profit through outreach and relationship building with tour operators and organized groups as well as through the coordination of the Park’s new tour operations.

For the first time since it launched in 2016 the TRHP is offering guided group tours that will include both a land and boat tour component and well as regularly scheduled historic tours available to the public. The right candidate will coordinate tours, liaison with the TRHP boat operator, tour guides and our historic site partners, oversee all online and point of sale ticketing as well as coordinate with the boat operator and customers for private charters. The Thames River Heritage Park is a collection of national and historic sites along both shores of the Thames River that are linked by a water taxi that tell the stories that shaped our nation during the past 400 years. Entering its fourth season, the TRHP in 2018, had more than 6,500 passengers ride the three-stop hop-on hop-off water taxi in New London and Groton.

Heritage sites within easy walking distance of the water taxi stops include, in Groton, the Avery-Copp House, the Ebenezer Avery Homestead, Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park and the Subvets World War II National Memorial East and, in New London, in addition to Fort Trumbull are the Nathan Hale Schoolhouse, the Garde Arts Center, and the Hempsted Houses.
