Select Registry Collection of Boutique Properties Welcomes the Villa at Westerly

Luxurious, Historic Inn Joins Prestigious Lodging Collection

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Select Registry (, a diverse collection of independent, boutique properties, is pleased to welcome the Villa at Westerly in Westerly, RI as one of its newest members.  The eight-room luxury inn is ideally located at the crossroads of history Watch Hill, Weekapaug and Westerly and is just minutes from seven miles of pristine beaches.

“We are delighted to welcome the Villa at Westerly and its owners, Michael and Betsy Cardiff, to Select Registry,” said Select Registry CEO Mark Jaronski. “The property offers guests a really luxurious, relaxing getaway close to incredible beaches, vineyards and golfing.  It’s an idyllic retreat.”

Designed in a classic Mediterranean style, the Villa was originally built as a private estate in the 1850s and rebuilt after a hurricane in 1938.  In 1975, it was converted to a bed and breakfast and in 2003, Michael Cardiff purchased the inn and renovated it to add modern amenities while keeping its historic charm.  A highlight of the inn is its large pool, separating the main guest house, with six rooms, and carriage house, with two rooms.  All guest rooms have a two-person jacuzzi tub and three bedrooms offer gas fireplaces.  The inn hosts wedding and events up to 25 people indoors and 100 people tented or in the gardens outside.

Membership in Select Registry will provide the Villa at Westerly the opportunity to reach a broader audience and partners it with other properties offering similar luxury amenities and services in a unique setting.
