Business of the Month

Congratulations to our Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce Business of the Month - Fairview Odd Fellows Home of CT!

Every month the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) highlights a member business deserving of special recognition in our community. For the month of September, we are excited to announce Fairview Odd Fellows Home of CT as the recipient of the GMCC’s Business of the Month award. The honor is nomination-based and determined by several factors, including community involvement and overall success.

Founded in 1892, Fairview is a well-respected community that embraces a well-planned lifestyle. Located on 70 pristine acres along the Thames River in Groton, Fairview is a nonprofit organization originally founded by the Connecticut Order of Odd Fellows Grand Lodge with a mission of providing compassionate care and security for generations of individuals. The nonprofit recently announced the enhancement of its rehabilitation department, as well as the development of its new Guided Journeys Memory Care Program. These new enhancements and program areas will directly impact the quality of life for Fairview’s residents.

Guided by the principles of friendship, love and truth, Fairview has become an integral part of our local community, extending its reach far beyond its grounds. Fairview recently hosted a technology program to help seniors from the region utilize smart phones and tablets. Fairview’s staff has also volunteered its time to help with a park clean-up at Thames River Landing. Fairview has also created a team to walk in the upcoming Walk to End Alzheimer’s event and has held several fundraisers in support of the Alzheimer’s Association.

Such an organization that works to make a positive impact for seniors in our area and gives back to our community with its participation and support is truly deserving of recognition. The Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce is proud to honor the entire Fairview Odd Fellows Home of CT team. Congratulations!
