Meet the Mystic Chamber Staff

Peggy Roberts, President

Peggy Roberts is a University of Connecticut graduate and former senior director of communications and media for the Altria Group. Spending summers with her family on Lords Point, Peggy grew up in Norwich and took her first job as a reporter covering Franklin, Bozrah and Lebanon for The Norwich Bulletin. While working in Alabama for a period of time, Peggy was on a team of reporters that won a Pulitzer Prize in 1988 for a series of stories on infant mortality.

Lauren Giliberto, Events Manager

Lauren Giliberto brings over five years of event planning experience from New York City and Virginia. Lauren is eager to share her professional organization and contagious energy with the Greater Mystic events. She loves the details, bringing all the pieces together to ensure stress-free, successful events. A graduate of Quinnipiac University, Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Informational System Management. Growing up in a small town, she values local businesses and their drive to succeed. Through operational events and community engagements, Lauren works to create an energetic and prosperous environment for the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce, and its members.

Stephanie Healy, Marketing Manager

Stephanie Healy has been with the GMCC since 2016 and brings nearly thirty years of marketing experience to the members of the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce. A business owner herself since 2006, Stephanie’s mission is always directed at showcasing the online presence of Mystic Chamber members with creative, digital design and marketing strategies that maintain brand identity and deliver great value. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a certification in Multimedia Design. She lives in Charlestown, Rhode Island with her husband of 23 years and teenage daughter, but has spent the much of her professional career working with southeastern Connecticut businesses of all sizes.

Kristin Hartnett, Membership Manager

Kristin has been with the GMCC since 2010; first on the membership committee, then a part time sales rep, and since 2015, full time Membership & Sales Manager. Her extensive background in hospitality, communications and theater make this civic sales role a perfect fit.

Kristin is on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Mystic Merchants, represents the Mystic region for the CT Office of Tourism at the Big E, and has presented for the CT Economic Resource Center on the success of tourism in Mystic. She is co-host of the SEC-TV cable access show "Mystic Matters," and will host a ribbon cutting for the opening of an envelope. Kristin commutes from East Lyme where she lives with her retired chef husband and beloved black lab, Seamus.
