Take part in the thrill as Santa Claus arrives in Mystic on the John Paul tugboat. Precisely at 2:00 pm, Santa will arrive at the dock of the Mystic River Park. He will greet the crowds and listen to all the children’s holiday wishes. Come and enjoy the Christmas carols while waiting for Santa to arrive.
Named after Adam and Jenny Wronowski’s son John Paul Wronowski, the tug JOHN PAUL entered service for Thames Towboat Company in 2004 following an extensive overhaul and re-fit that took place at Thames Shipyard. The JOHN PAUL is used frequently by both Electric Boat Shipyard and Thames Shipyard to assist in dry-dockings and short-haul tows around Long Island Sound and Block Island Sound. The JOHN PAUL is fitted with complete underwater fendering and “Kort” nozzles that enable it to assist all classes of Navy Submarines. The JOHN PAUL represents the fourth generation of Wronowskis having their names proudly displayed on vessels operating in and around New London Harbor.
