Roots & Wings Gala A Huge Success!

Noank Group Homes and Support Services 1st Annual Fundraiser

The Noank Group Homes and Support Services is thrilled to announce that, as a result of its first annual Roots and Wings Gala, the organization raised more than $16,000 to support its Transitions to Adulthood program. More than 100 people attended the Gala, held at the Mystic Arts Center on September 24, 2011.

The event included silent and live auctions, gorgeous decorations donated by GiRA, delicious food donated by Steak Loft and Go Fish, cocktails provided by Cask & Keg, and fantastic music by Rock and Soul Revue. The Noank Group Homes and Support Services, in existence since 1972, provides therapeutic care to adolescents in Southeastern Connecticut through three group homes for girls aged 14 to 18 in Noank, Mystic and Ledyard and other programming. In 2010, the organization celebrated the opening of its new headquarters at 306 Thames Street in Groton.
